This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live featured some interesting developments as another title match was added to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and more names were confirmed for the upcoming Royal Rumble matches.
The action on the screen was exciting, and the stars of SmackDown put on a show, but there was one huge WWE star who was at the arena that fans didn’t get to see on TV.
PWInsider is reporting that The Undertaker was backstage at SmackDown Live this week. There’s no word on why The Undertaker was there, but it’s been speculated that he could have been preparing for his upcoming appearance on the Raw 25th anniversary show.
It’s been a while since fans have seen Taker inside a WWE ring as he disappeared after he lost to Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 33, and there’s been a lot of speculation that The Deadman wrestled his final match at the Show of Shows last year.
Of course no official announcement has been made regarding the WWE legend’s in-ring status, but with WrestleMania season right around the corner we should be getting some indication as to what the future holds for the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
