The year is quickly coming to an end and soon all eyes will be looking ahead to 2024. This week SmackDown kicked off with AJ Styles cutting a promo in the ring and he made it clear that he wants a shot at Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The Phenomenal One was interrupted by LA Knight and Styles accused LA Knight of “stepping over his dead body” when he tagged with John Cena to defeat The Bloodline then moved on to a title match with Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel.

Styles and Knight went back and forth for a moment before Randy Orton made his way down to the ring. Orton said that he understands why both men want to get their hands on Roman Reigns, but The Bloodline put him on the shelf for 18 months. All three men stated their case regarding why they should face Roman Reigns, so Nick Aldis came out to settle it.

Nick Aldis announced that AJ Styles, Randy Orton and LA Knight will face off in a triple threat match at SmackDown New Year’s Revolution on January 5th. The winner of the triple threat match will go on to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble.
