WWE has made a number of big changes to the announce teams over the last few years, and it was announced a few weeks ago that the company had signed Joe Tessitore.
Michael Cole announced during the SummerSlam pre-show that Joe Tessitore will be making his debut as an announcer on Monday Night Raw on September 2nd from Denver, CO. Cole also followed up by announcing that he will be moving over to the Friday Night SmackDown brand.
Michael Cole is currently doing commentary on Raw alongside Pat McAfee, but it was recently reported that Pat is expected to be pulled from his duties on commentary when college football stars as he will be doing broadcast work for ESPN’s College GameDay.
In WWE’s original announcement it was noted that Joe Tessitore would be calling the action alongside Wade Barrett and Corey Graves. It’s unclear at this point in time if that is still the plan.
