How R-Truth’s WWE Return Came Together

Last week R-Truth announced his WWE departure, but he made his shocking return to WWE on Saturday night at Money in the Bank. Fightful Select is reporting the situation with R-Truth isn’t a work, and that sources close to R-Truth claimed that he has signed a new deal. It’s also worth noting that Truth’s son also indicated on social media that his dad signed a new deal for one last run with the compamy.

R-Truth also responded to a tweet about his return which said “we all got worked” when he replied with, “no work.”

After R-Truth announced his WWE departure a number of wrestling companies and promoters reached out to R-Truth and were said to be hopeful that they could book him for future appearances. A number of talent noted that they spoke with R-Truth and specified that his departure was not a work. Truth was reportedly flooded with phone calls and messages. It was noted that he seemed, “shocked and kind of disgusted, as we all were.”

According to the report Ron Killings ignored many of WWE’s approaches throughout the week until Nick Khan called him personally to work out a new deal. It’s being said that the deal was a “meeting halfway” situation.

One talent who worked with Ron Killings for over a decade said, “If he had to maintain a work like that, he’d just ask us not to say anything. He would never lie to us about that.”

During the Money in the Bank post-show press conference Triple H claimed that R-Truth’s WWE departure was all part of the show, but it’s being reported that a number of talent have claimed the opposite. R-Truth’s son also responded to the claim when he responded to Triple H with a post that said, “Stop the ”

Everyone was said to have been excited about R-Truth making a return. PWInsider is reporting that R-Truth’s new deal with WWE came together within the last 72 hours.
