It was reported yesterday by Pro Wrestling Sheet that NXT star Hideo Itami recently injured his neck during a NXT live event, and he will likely be out of action for a while.
WWE has confirmed that Hideo Itami is indeed injured, and they released a video which features Hideo delivering some bad news to the fans.
In the video Hideo says that he is injured, and he won’t be competing in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with Kota Ibushi. He says that he’s not sure about his status for NXT Takeover, but that he will be at the NXT live event in Osaka, Japan in December.

Hideo Itami seems to be having some bad luck over the past few years. He was out of action for the second half of 2015, and most of 2016 after he suffered an injury. He made his return to the ring at a NXT live event back in June, and he made his televised return when he faced Sean Maluta in a match which aired during the August 3 episode of NXT.
