Here’s Why The WWE Hall Of Fame Invitation Makes Jim Cornette Angry

This year’s WWE Hall of Fame class currently consists of Kurt Angle, Diamond Dallas Page, Beth Phoenix, Teddy Long, Rick Rude and The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. Fans were shocked when it was recently announced that Jim Cornette will induct the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, because many believed they would never see him on WWE programming again.

Well, we’re going to be seeing Jim Cornette on the WWE Network on March 31st, that much has been confirmed, but Cornette recently revealed on his podcast that the invite made him angry because WWE proved him wrong.

“I made the big news this week. I trended on the gimmick. I was retweeted numerous times. Everything was very positive. Some people were like, ‘oh well you said you’d never do this.’ No actually, I didn’t. I had to admit, actually, it’s kind of pissing me off this whole thing, because I’ve never admitted I was wrong so many times in the course of like a f***ing single three month period. I didn’t think they would put the Rock ‘n’ Roll in, and they did. I really didn’t think that they would ask me to do it, and they did. Then I guess I couldn’t really go back on another of my words and have to be wrong again and say that I would do it if they asked, and to try to be the kindler and gentler Jim Cornette that I’ve become in my old age. I must admit, it was a very cordial conversation.”
