WWE SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan, and Shane McMahon introduced the new SmacKDown WWE Tag Team Titles on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.
Daniel Bryan and Shane also announced that a tournament would be held to crown the new Tag Team Champions, and the finals will take place at WWE Backlash on September 11. So far The Usos, and America Alpha have advanced in the tournament, and the hottest free agent in all of sports entertainment, Heath Slater, is set to team with Rhyno.
The WWE SmackDown brand is in need of tag teams and it looks like like former WWE Tag Team Champions will be returning. Glenn Ruth, better known as Thrasher to WWE fans, announced on Facebook that the team will be on SmackDown next week.

It remains to be seen if the former Tag Team Champions will be entering the tournament, but they certainly seem like they would be a welcome addition to SmackDown Live.
