They say that anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling, and on Sunday night The Miz shocked the world when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Drew McIntyre to become WWE Champion.
Miz previously cashed in his first Money in the Bank contract on Randy Orton back in 2010, and he went on to defend the WWE Championship against Jerry Lawler at the Elimination Chamber PPV in February of 2011.
Following The Miz’s big victory on Sunday WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler took to Twitter to comment on a possible rematch when he posted the following:
“Almost ten years ago, to the day, at #eliminationchamber2011 I wrestled @mikethemiz for the @WWE Title…I think it’s time for the rematch”
