Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract is set to expire soon, and the former World Heavyweight Champion recently got the wrestling world talking when he revealed that he’s trying to weasel his way into wrestling for other companies and WWE.
Whether or not that will end up happening remains to be seen, but two time WWE Hall of Famer Sean Waltman recently addressed the topic on Pro Wrestling 4 Life, and he explained why he’s in favor of the idea.
“That’s smart of him because he’s trying to preserve his relationship with the company and still be able to go out there and do things to satisfy himself at this stage of his life and career.”
“And I think it would behoove the company to let him do that, honestly. I’m not saying, ‘Hey, go ahead and go main event an AEW pay-per-view or something,’ but if he wanted to go out and do his own thing and even produce it himself, good for him.”
One way or another it will be interesting to see where Daniel Bryan’s career goes from here as he has been openly saying that he’s looking to wind down from a full-time schedule.
Bryan will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship on Friday Night SmackDown, and if he loses he will be banished from the blue brand. Stay tuned for updates.
