There are quite a few people who have worked for WWE throughout the years, but unfortunately not everyone can get along. WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg was one of the most entertaining stars on the roster during the Attitude Era and The Rock was also working hard to make a name for himself during that same time period.
Road Dogg recently spoke with Chris Van Vliet about his history with The Great One, and he noted that he felt the need to make amends with The Rock because he wasn’t nice to him.
“In the program of recovery that I follow, there was some ‘making amends’ parts to it, and so I had to make that list. The Rock was one for me.”
“I was just really mean to him because I was jealous of him. He was a threat to me, because he could do everything I could do, but he looked freakin’ great too … And at that point in my life, that bothered me, you know what I mean? I was afraid of that … So I treated him horrible in front of everybody all the time, and I went to him and he said, ‘Thank you, that’s nice of you to say.’ I don’t know if he forgives me, that’s none of my business, but I had to do it to clean up my side of the street, as we say.”
It seems that they have a better relationship now as Road Dogg also said that The Rock came down to the Performance Center when he was working there, and the former Intercontinental Champion said that he and The Rock still get along.
