There’s no denying that WWE has had its fair share of talented Superstars on the roster over the last few years, but it takes the right combination of several attributes to make it to get the company behind you and make it to the top.
Aiden English played a big role when it came to getting Rusev over during the Rusev Day era, but his efforts didn’t translate into success for him as a singles competitor. During a recent episode of his Oh You Didn’t Know? podcast WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg praised Aiden English for his talent while explaining why he didn’t think the company got behind him.
“I don’t think a lot of people were behind Aiden English from the get-go, and I think it was totally about his looks. Because if it was about anything else, you would know he is extremely talented. He is great on the mic. He works now with IMPACT as a commentator and is really good at it. Did that at NXT for a while.”
