All Elite Wrestling has been on TV since 2019 and the promotion’s production style takes a different approach from that of WWE with a different look. Some people enjoy AEW’s presentation, but it seems that at least one Hall of Famer feels that it’s dated.
Kevin Nash discussed AEW programming on his Kliq This podcast, and he compared to a WCW show when he said, “It just seems…dated? It has a very ‘WCW Thunder’ feel when I watch it.”
Nash did praise performers such as Wardlow, Orange Cassidy, Chris Jericho and CM Punk, but he went on to say that at times it’s hard for him to figure who the belts go to due to the various talents from other promotions who appear on AEW programming.
“It’s almost like a no-borders, ‘Doctors Without Borders’ type of situation over there, and it’s hard for me to figure out who the belts go to. But I don’t watch wrestling that often, and if I’m going to watch a product, just visually … the crystal-clear production, and costuming, and everything else that the WWE gives me, I feel like it’s Cirque du Soleil instead of f*cking, you know, Ringling Brothers.”
