Over the years fans have seen a number of familiar faces step into the role of General Manager on Raw, SmackDown and NXT. Booker T happens to be one of those familiar names as he previously worked as the General Manager for the SmackDown brand.
Currently Booker T is working as a commentator in NXT, but there have been plenty of fans on social media pushing for him to take on the General Manager role. However, Booker T recently explained on his Hall of Fame podcast why he’s not likely to take on the GM role anytime soon.
“I’ve been getting a lot of tweets over the last few [days] as far as people are lobbying for me to be the new general manager in ‘NXT.’ Everybody wants the authority figure. And my thing is I like my spot. I like my spot. I like being right there at the [announce] table, you know, somebody come over there, you know, whack me and I go flying. I like that part of my job.”
