Vince McMahon announced his retirement last month and since then the new regime has been making some changes. Former stars are returning to the company and it sounds like another name who was let go will be returning soon.
PWInsider is reporting that Road Dogg is returning to WWE and he will be working in an executive role moving forward. Road Dogg’s new position hasn’t been confirmed, and it’s not known at this point in time when he’ll be starting, but the word making the rounds is that he’s back. It was also noted that he’s not at Raw tonight.
Road Dogg previously worked as the head writer for the SmackDown brand before he resigned from the job and shifted tot he NXT brand. He was let go back in January of this year.
The return of the Road Dogg is just one of several big backstage changes that have recently taken place with Jeff Jarrett parting ways with the company last week and Shawn Michaels being promoted to WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
