Ever since Triple H took over WWE creative last year fans have seen a number of former stars return to the company, and it looks like the Authors of Pain could potentially be WWE bound.
Fightful Select reports that WWE had interest in the former Raw Tag Team Champions. People who have spoken on the subject noted that the duo has an incredible amount of loyalty to Paul Ellering, and it’s also being said that Paul Ellering would be heading up negotiating their deal.
The Authors of Pain officially debuted in NXT in June of 2016 and they went on to win the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio in January of 2017. They became one of the top teams in NXT before they were called up to Raw in April of 2018. Upon getting called up they ended their association with Paul Ellering. They won the Raw Tag Team Championship later that year.
In 2019 the Authors of Pain ended up forming an alliance with Seth Rollins, but the team was forced to go on hiatus in 2020 due to Rezar suffering an injury. They were released in September of 2020. Stay tuned for more updates on their possible WWE return as they become available.
