The WWE Day 1 pay-per-view aired live on Saturday night, and during the show fans saw The Miz face off against Edge in a singles match, and Maryse was heavily involved.
Throughout the match Maryse kept interfering, and it appears that Beth Phoenix had seen enough as the Hall of Famer made her surprise return during the match. Beth Phoenix chased off Maryse, and after Maryse retreated she set her sights on The Miz.
The Miz and Beth Phoenix engaged in a stare down with Beth on the outside of the ring and Miz on the inside. Miz was yelling at Beth Phoenix with his back turned to Edge, and when he turned around Edge hit him with a spear to win the match.
With Maryse being so heavily involved in The Miz’s feud with Edge it’s been rumored that Beth Phoenix could be added to the feud as well, so it will be interesting to see where things go from here. Stay tuned for updates.
