CM Punk’s post-show rant following AEW All Out has become infamous over the last few months and Punk hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since the All Out pay-per-view. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding CM Punk’s future, but the general consensus seems to be that he’s not returning to AEW.
Ric Flair recently discussed CM Punk’s status on his To Be The Man podcast, and he claimed that he was also told by an AEW employee that CM Punk will not be returning to the company.
“I guess they’re just trying to figure out a way to buy out his contract, he’s [CM Punk] not coming back, and I’m just told this by AEW people, that The Young Bucks are already back, or somebody told me that they were back, you know when you get a bunch of wrestlers together you hear a bunch of stuff.”
As of this writing neither CM Punk nor AEW have made any officially comments regarding his future, or lack thereof, with the company. Stay tuned for updates.
