You never know what’s going to happen on AEW Dynamite, and recently Jeff Jarrett made his big debut with the company. Last week Jarrett showed up on Dynamite, and he took a shot at Braun Strowman while hyping up Satnam Singh when he said, “This ain’t no make-believe monster who wears red skinny jeans and is produced by the banana nose circus.”
Braun Strowman has been a hot topic as of late after he ruffled some feathers when he took shots at “flippy floppy” wrestlers on Twitter. Jeff Jarrett talked about his reaction to the tweets during an episode of his My World podcast while explaining why he thinks diversity is important for wrestling.
“… when he takes a shot at flippy floppy stuff and blah blah blah blah blah, it’s almost tone-deaf. Because in 2022, when you look at the landscape of all of professional wrestling, of all of sports entertainment, you want to resonate with your audience … he didn’t just put one, he put both feet in his mouth and is knocking ‘flippy flop’, which I take offense to because this industry, whether it’s the X-Division, whether it’s Lucha Libre, whatever it may be — if we don’t have a diversity of genres of wrestling and styles of wrestling, I mean, you’ve talked about AAA. It’s a different appetite.”
It’s been confirmed that Jeff Jarrett will be in action at AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 19 when he teams with Jay Lethal to take on Sting and Darby Allin. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
