We’re only a few days into 2024 and it’s already been an interesting year for wrestling. As we saw this week with The Rock’s return on Day 1 Raw you never know when a name from the past might enter the world of WWE once again.
PWInsider is reporting that the word making the rounds at the WWE Performance Center is that Sean Waltman will be at the WWE Performance Center this week. It’s not clear at this point in time what he’ll be doing at the Performance Center, but WWE does bring in guest coaches from time to time.
Sean Waltman last appeared on WWE programming back in January of 2023 when he was featured in a segment with Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg and Kurt Angle.
Months ago Sean Waltman noted during an interview with Chris Van Vliet that he’s been training while stating that he feels like he could work a multi-man match.
“Oh yeah, most definitely. I’ve been training, feeling good. I’m not saying another run or anything like that. But like, if I needed to be in a match like a six-man or something like that. I could kill it. I could do all the stuff I used to do.”
When Waltman was asked about a possible Royal Rumble appearance he indicated that he would be open to the idea. It’s certainly not uncommon for Hall of Famers to show up and make surprise appearances at the Royal Rumble which is only a few weeks away at this point, so it will be interesting to see if Waltman is one of the surprise entrants this year.
