Ronda Rousey officially made her professional wrestling in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34, and since then she’s gone on to become one of the top stars in WWE. The Baddest Woman on the Planet previously found success in MMA and although she’s showed a lot of love for wrestling she has at times been criticized for things she’s said about the business.
Teddy Long recently discussed Ronda Rousey on Sportskeeda’s One on One and he noted that he thinks Rousey is a great person in real life. However, the former SmackDown General Manager also said that he doesn’t think she takes professional wrestling seriously.
“I’m glad that you brought that up because that’s how exactly I feel. I don’t think she cares anything about our business. I don’t think she takes professional wrestling seriously. I think with her, it’s all about Ronda Rousey. She’s one of the people that would go into business for themselves. So like I said, great person, but this business is different. You gotta take this real serious.”
Ronda Rousey successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship last Friday against Raquel Rodriguez, but her celebration was short lived as Charlotte Flair returned immediately after and defeated Rousey to win the title.
