It’s a big year for WWE, as SmackDown Live is set to move to FOX in October. Ever since the deal was first announced there’s been talk of FOX adding more WWE programming to their channels, and it’s expected that WWE will be getting a studio show.
According to WrestleVotes, FOX has pitched the idea of having Jerry “The King” Lawler be the main part of the show.
It’s being said that the feeling is Lawler’s image and voice are familiar, which is something the network is looking for.
It will be interesting to see how things shake out once FOX starts running WWE programming, as it’s been reported that the network is looking for not only a more sports oriented show, but also an edgier product as well.
Do you think Jerry Lawler would be a good fit for a WWE studio show? Sound off in the comments below.
