Ahead of the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch at Revolution on Sunday night it was announced that the ring would explode at the 30 minute mark. After Kenny Omega successfully defended his AEW Title against Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers retreated as a timer counted down to the last 60 seconds.
Eddie Kingston entered the ring and tried to shield Jon Moxley from the explosion by covering him and sacrificing himself, but the explosion was a dud.
Everyone has been talking about the finish to the show, including WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray who quoted Vince McMahon when he posted the following:
“The only thing they remember, is the finish.”

T-BAR of RETRIBUTION also chimed in and encouraged fans to watch an “explosive” new episode of Raw this week, and Shotzi Blackheart posted a gif of Gillberg entering to sparklers.
Tune in tomorrow night at 8PM EST for an explosive new episode of @WWE Monday Night RAW on the @USA_Network!#RETRIBUTION
