John Cena’s been lucky enough to have arguably one of the most successful careers in the history of professional wrestling, but it all comes to an end at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cena will compete in one final match on December 13th and Gunther earned the right to face John Cena in his final match when he defeated LA Knight in The Last Time Is Now Tournament finals on the most recent episode of SmackDown.
It appears that Gunther is making it his mission to beat John Cena by submission, as he posted a video on Instagram in which he sent the following message to Cena:
“Hey John, did you see that? I told you, pay attention. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, finally, you will give up. You’ll tap. You will give up for good.”
Following Gunther’s win on SmackDown, Cena recently commented on his upcoming match against The Ring General when he posted a tweet which said, “The stage is set for One Last Match. On a night of epic proportions, it is an honor to face off against an opponent who I respect and who has earned the right to issue this final challenge! I will bring my best, I know he will do the same! Don’t miss the Final Time! #SNME
