Saturday night was a historic night for John Cena and Gunther as Cena stepped into the ring for one final match, and Gunther retired another legend. Heading into the match there was a lot of talk about how the finish would go, and ultimately it ended with Gunther picking up the victory when he made John Cena tap out.
The finish to the match didn’t go over well with many fans as Triple H was heavily booed when he made his way out into the arena for the post match celebration.
Gunther was also heavily booed as he left the arena, and a video of security escorting The Ring General while fans shout “f*** you Gunther” has been making the rounds on social media.

John Cena is the second legend that The Ring General has retired this year as he also retired Goldberg when he defeated the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion in his last match at Saturday Night’s Main Event back in July.
