WWE recently made a huge announcement when the company revealed that the Greatest Royal Rumble will take place from Saudi Arabia on April 27, and the match will feature 50 Superstars from Raw and SmackDown Live.
Friday morning Roman Reigns was a guest on the Jim Norton and Sam Roberts show on Sirius XM, and he confirmed that the Greatest Royal Rumble will air on the WWE Network.
Names being advertised for the big event include Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Triple H, John Cena, Kurt Angle and more, and it’s also been rumored that The Undertaker and Chris Jericho could be making appearances.
Further details regarding the event are unknown at this point as the only match that has been confirmed so far is the Greatest Royal Rumble match itself.
Prior to the Greatest Royal Rumble match, the 2011 Royal Rumble served as the largest Royal Rumble match so far with 40 competitors fighting for the chance to challenge for a title at WrestleMania.
Alberto Del Rio won the Royal Rumble that year and went on to challenge Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 27 but he ultimately lost the match and went home empty handed.
