Originally, Bill Goldberg’s WWE comeback was meant to be for only one match against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Four months later, he will defend the WWE Universal Title against Lesnar at Wrestlemania 33. It’s safe to say his run has exceeded all expectations.

As successful as his run has been over the past several months, it was always meant to be a short-term one. It’s been rumored that his contract with the company is set to expire after Wrestlemania, but there is a lot of speculation that it could continue beyond April 2nd.
According to a new report from CageSideSeats, WWE officials feel that Goldberg had a good run, but the door will remain open for him to continue working with the company. Goldberg will likely be retiring after Wrestlemania, but that hasn’t been confirmed as of this writing.
Obviously, Goldberg will probably sign a WWE Legends deal soon and continue to represent the company in various ways, including being featured on the WWE Network. However, there are still many dream matches WWE fans would like to see if he decides to wrestle again.
