Monday Night Raw kicked off in a big way this week, as Goldberg made his way to the ring at the beginning of the show. Goldberg grabbed a mic and he started to talk, but he was quickly interrupted by Paul Heyman.
Heyman stepped up on the apron, and teased that he had “significant backup” before stepping into the ring. Paul Heyman said that his client isn’t just a beast, he’s also an impatient beast. Heyman said that Brock doesn’t want to wait until Survivor Series, and he introduced Brock Lesnar, then Lesnar’s music hit, but he didn’t come out.
Paul Heyman then laughed and joked about how he pulled a fast one on the crowd. He started talking trash to Goldberg, and Goldberg backed him up into a corner, then Rusev came out to make the save.
Rusev grabbed a mic and asked Goldberg who the hell he thinks he is. The crowd responded by chanting Goldberg’s name. Rusev mocked Goldberg and told him that he doesn’t have it anymore. He then got in Goldberg’s face and told him he can see him shaking. He told Goldberg he crushes people, and then he punched him.
Goldberg stood tall and hit Rusev with a couple of knee strikes before hitting him with the Jackhammer. Paul Heyman stood in shock over Rusev’s body, and then Goldberg speared Paul Heyman before leaving.
