Goldberg had a big year in 2020, as he defeated The Fiend to win the Universal Championship, and he went on to defend the belt at WrestleMania 36.
Originally Goldberg was supposed to defend the title against Roman Reigns, but Roman pulled out of the event due to the coronavirus pandemic, and Goldberg dropped the belt to Braun Strowman.
During a recent episode of The Bump Kayla Braxton asked Goldberg about his appearance in ThunderDome back in October, and he noted that he’s ready to hit Roman Reigns with the spear.
“Oh, I would say that that is one of the most mild understatements that I’ve ever heard. He backed out on me at WrestleMania, he stole my move, God knows how long ago, and he continues to perform it at subpar levels.”
“Let’s be perfectly honest, I’m the dude who delivers the Spear and I don’t think that he understands what it’s like until I deliver one to him. So Roman, it’s coming and I’m coming for you. I may be old, I may be grey, but I’m still Goldberg.”
The Hall of Famer then ended the interview by saying, “Thank you guys and girls, as always it’s a privilege, and who’s next? Roman’s next!”
