Last weekend Brock Lesnar defended the WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble, and Lesnar dropped the belt to Lashley after Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman interfered.
This week on SmackDown fans saw Roman Reigns, The Usos and Paul Heyman kick off the show with a promo, but they were interrupted by WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg.
Goldberg made his way to the ring the grabbed the mic and told Roman Reigns that he acknowledges him as his next victim. Bill Goldberg then informed Roman Reigns that he’s next, and he will be challenging him for the Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber on February 19th.
Roman Reigns was previously set to challenge Goldberg for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36, but Reigns pulled out of the event due to the pandemic. Goldberg ended up defending against Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36 and he dropped the Universal Championship to the Monster Among Men, but now it seems that Reigns and Goldberg will finally face off. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
