A few months ago Goldberg’s contract with WWE expired, and it doesn’t seem like the company is looking to bring him back at this point in time. Despite the fact that Goldberg isn’t under contract he’s made it clear that he’s not ready to hang up the boots just yet.
Goldberg recently explained that he had a handshake deal with Vince McMahon and that he was promised a retirement match, which he didn’t get. He also declared that he is the only one who can put a stamp on his career while teasing a possible retirement tour.
PWInsider Elite is reporting that Goldberg was in Los Angeles for WrestleMania week, and the Hall of Famer met with at least one international promoter to discuss the idea of a possible farewell tour. There was talk of possibly doing a farewell event for Goldberg in Israel and potentially other countries as well.
It was also noted that there’s been no talk of a possible Goldberg vs. MJF match, but Tony Khan has openly said that he thinks the idea of Goldberg appearing in AEW is interesting.
Goldberg last wrestled at the Elimination Chamber premium live event last year where he took a loss to Roman Reigns. Stay tuned for more updates on his future as they become available.
