There are many fans who thought they would never see Goldberg wrestle again, but that all changed when he returned to the ring in 2016, and went on to win the Universal Title on the Road to WrestleMania 33.
The night after WrestleMania 33, Goldberg said goodbye to the fans, but we’ll be seeing him very soon as he’s set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on Friday, April 6.
However, just because he’s being inducted into the Hall of Fame doesn’t mean he’s retired, as Goldberg recently told The Washington Post that he’s not ruling out a return to the ring.
“Do I want to roll the dice again? I don’t know,” Goldberg said. “I’ll quote one of the most famous movies that I was ever in, ‘Santa’s Slay’: It ain’t over ‘til I say it’s over.”
Goldberg also talked about his son joining him in the ring after he defeated Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in 2016, and he said that it was a very cleansing experience.
“The angle was real and it was touching and it was true. I kind of left it all out there. It was a cleansing experience,” Goldberg said. “I owe it all to Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar. They gave me the opportunity to be one of the coolest dads in the world and they didn’t have to do that.”
If Goldberg does return for another match, who do you want to see him face? Sound off in the comments below.
