Over the last few years Goldberg has been making sporadic appearances on WWE programming, and on Thursday he’s set to challenge The Fiend for the Universal Championship at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.
There’s no telling how many matches Goldberg has left in him at this point in his career, but it sounds retirement is something that he’s contemplating.
The WWE Hall of Famer recently spoke to the Total Slam Podcast, and he noted that he’s considering having his retirement match in Israel.
“I’m considering my retirement match in Israel. As a matter of fact, my agent and I talked about that a minute ago and that’s a big topic of conversation right now, so its something we’re going to consider.”
It’s unclear at this point in time if the match will actually happen, but it’s an interesting scenario for Goldberg to say the least.
As of right now Goldberg’s only scheduled match with WWE is set to take place at Super ShowDown, but it’s been rumored that he could be part of the WrestleMania card.
Stay tuned for updates on Goldberg’s status.
