Goldberg is one of the most recognizable names in the professional wrestling business and the Hall of Famer has picked up some major wins throughout his career. The former Universal Champion is known for dominating in short matches and 20 years ago he faced off against Lance Storm in a quick match on Raw.
Storm was absolutely destroyed by Goldberg in a match that lasted one minute, but it sounds like Goldberg expressed some remorse for the squash match. Recently Lance Storm commented on a clip of the match on Twitter and he noted that Goldberg felt bad about beating him in a complete squash, so he suggested jumping Storm before he got through the ropes.
“It takes a good man to beat me, but it doesn’t take him long.
On a side note Bill felt bad this was going to be a complete squash and suggested jumping me as I came through the ropes so I at least had an out.”
Goldberg’s WWE contract expired months ago, but he’s said openly that he’s not done in the ring as he wants to wrestle a retirement match. Plans for a potential retirement match have yet to be officially announced, so it will be interesting to see how things play out of the match does indeed happen.
