Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Goldberg will be returning, and there are plans in place for Goldberg and Brock Lesnar to face off again. It was noted that Brock Lesnar pushed for Goldberg to go over at Survivor Series, because he sees money in a feud with Goldberg, and Vince McMahon sees money as well.
Meltzer noted that he doesn’t know for sure what the agreement is between WWE and Goldberg, but he speculated that Goldberg will work the Royal Rumble and possibly WrestleMania.
It was also noted that the match was booked to be short in order to get Goldberg over the same way he got over in WCW. Heading into the match Goldberg noted in an interview that he tweaked his shoulder, but the booking had nothing to do with any sort of injury on Goldberg’s behalf.
