Goldberg was one of the fastest rising stars in the history of WCW and he made it to the top of the industry during the Monday Night Wars. Bron Breakker is currently one of the fastest rising stars in WWE as he quickly worked his way up to become the top star in NXT.
Breakker has been utilizing the spear as one of his go to moves which has drawn comparisons to Goldberg. During a recent appearance on the Roman Atwood Podcast and he claimed that WWE also wanted Breakker to use the Jackhammer when he said, “He’s me, basically. They wanted him to Jackhammer people”
Goldberg also showed support for the current NXT Champion when he added, “I love this kid. He went up and he tried to play for Baltimore, I think he was a free agent for the Ravens. The kid is unbelievably athletic, but he’s one of the smartest kids, man. He’s knowledgeable in the business because he grew up with it. I was hanging out with him and his dad when he was [Goldberg’s son] Gage’s age. Now look at him.”
On Saturday night Bron Breakker successfully defended his NXT Championship against Ilja Dragunov and JD McDonagh in a triple threat match at Halloween Havoc. At this point it seems like nothing can slow down Breakker’s momentum, so it will be interesting to see where he goes from here. Stay tuned for updates.
