Last year WWE announced their new partnership with the government of Saudi Arabia, and things kicked off with the Greatest Royal Rumble in April.
The partnership became much more controversial following the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, but despite the fact that outside forces were pressuring the company to cancel Crown Jewel last November, the event moved ahead as planned.
It’s been rumored that the company would be holding an event in Saudi Arabia in June, and now it’s been confirmed.
WWE confirmed the event will take on June 7, and The Undertaker, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at all being advertised for the show. The company posted the following:
“The Saudi General Sports Authority, in partnership with WWE, will host an event at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Friday, June 7, at 8 p.m. AST. The event will feature WWE Superstars Roman Reigns, Undertaker, Kofi Kingston, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, Goldberg, AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar, and stream live on WWE Network.
Additional details on the event’s matches, ticket availability and pricing, and regional broadcast information will be announced in the coming weeks.”
