Alberto Del Rio is constantly finding himself in controversial situations, and he’s never one to hold back when he wants to say what’s on his mind. Alberto’s temper has caused him to talk some pretty serious trash about WWE, and now his temper has gotten him in some legal trouble.
It was reported earlier today that Alberto Del Rio is currently being investigated for a domestic violence battery incident that allegedly took place at the Orlando airport on Sunday.
Alberto Del Rio is being pushed as the face of Global Force Wrestling, and at Slammiversary he unified the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship and the Global Force Title.
The company has been pushing Alberto pretty hard ever since he debuted, and GFW has issued the following statement about the allegations to Pro Wrestling Sheet:
“Global Force Wrestling takes all legal situations very seriously and is looking into this matter. GFW is a privately-held company and will thoroughly investigate this incident and fully cooperate with law enforcement.”
According to reports, Alberto “roughed up a female companion” at the Orlando airport, and one witness was quoted as saying, “There was an altercation.”
The name of Alberto’s female companion has not been confirmed, but witnesses claim he was spotted with Paige at the airport.
