Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were expected to leave WWE in 2019, and it was rumored that they were AEW bound. However, they ultimately signed new contracts with WWE.
Last summer Gallows and Anderson teamed up with Triple H and AJ Styles during a WWE live event in Japan, and on their Talk N’ Shop podcast they revealed that’s when Triple H convinced them to sign.
After the show Triple H met with Gallows and Anderson, and asked them what it would take to get them to sign new deals.
Triple H also questioned whether or not AEW will last.
“I look and you and I see your kids, and what if AEW doesn’t last? I promise you WWE will always be here.”
Ultimately they signed new deals, but they were released from their contracts back in April.
It was recently confirmed that they’ve signed with Impact Wrestling, and their contracts will allow them to work with New Japan in the future.
