AEW and WWE have been trying to lock down wrestlers in recent months and it seems that there are a number of names who are on the radar for both companies. Taya Valkyrie recently finished up with Impact Wrestling at the tapings in Las Vegas and now she’s a free agent.
Recently the Wrestling Observer Newsletter shared an update on Taya Valkyrie’s status and it was noted that she will likely be heading to AEW or WWE, and her next destination is expected to be made clear in the near future.
“Valkyrie finished up with Impact as she was working with both companies [Impact and MLW] and on occasion AAA, where she still holds their Reina de Reinas title. She is not committed [to MLW] for a long time either. She is likely going to AEW or WWE and whichever one is supposed to be made clear within a short period of time.”
Taya Valkyrie previously signed with WWE in February of 2021, but she was released from the company in November of that same year. Following her release she went on to work with companies like AAA, Impact Wrestling, NWA and MLW, so it will be interesting to see if she ends up making her way back to WWE when it’s all said and done. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
