The wrestling landscape has changed drastically since the beginning of the year, and things are only going to get crazier as we head into the fall.
WWE SmackDown Live is set to make the jump to FOX on 10/4, and AEW’s TV series is expected to debut on TNT the same week.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that FOX has been testing out two new cameras for the SmackDown debut on the network, and they’re also looking to invite a lot of big celebrities which is why the show is taking place in Los Angeles.
FOX wants to kick off SmackDown’s debut with a bang, and make it look like the equivalent of a big boxing match that’s attended by real stars.
The idea is to make WWE look as major league as possible, and to make AEW look like a minor league group from day one.
