SmackDown Live is set to move to Friday nights on FOX in the fall, and Triple H recently confirmed that a WWE studio show will be premiering on FS1 later this year as well.
Ever since WWE signed their TV deal with FOX, it’s been rumored that the network is also interested in NXT.
Following NXT TakeOver: New York, Triple H participated in a post-show media call, and he confirmed that the network is interested in NXT and NXT UK, but noted how important the brand is to the WWE Network.
“The opportunities are there for a lot of things. I know there’s a lot of interest in NXT as a brand. Both (NXT and NXT UK). There’s a lot of interest in it but it’s a very valuable commodity to the (WWE) Network as well. It’s the number one and number two most watched thing on the Network by far. Outside of pay-per-views.”
He also noted that the discussion show on FS1 will be a cross between UFC Tonight and Talking Dead, and he emphasized that FOX wants NXT to be a big part of the show.
