WWE SmackDown officially moved to Friday nights on FOX back in October, and FOX has been promoting the blue brand across the various sports broadcasts on the network.
During a recent NFL on FOX broadcast, Thom Brennaman was promoting Friday Night SmackDown when he mistakenly called Sasha Banks “Sasha Shanks.”
“America’s top rated Friday night show beginning 2020 with a bang! Do you know who Sasha Shanks is? What about Lacey Evans?”
The botch certainly didn’t go unnoticed by wrestling fans.
This isn’t the first time FOX has gotten a WWE Superstar’s name wrong, as Mojo Rawley was incorrectly labeled as “Sammy Zane” during the blue carpet special for the SmackDown on FOX premiere back in October.
Rey Mysterio was also referred to as a “Nacho Libre” during a Vikings game back in September.
