The WWE Backlash premium live event is quickly approaching and this year the big show is set to take place from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar is one of the most talked about matches on the card as everyone is waiting to see how things play out.
The American Nightmare is of course coming off a high profile loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania which has left many to wonder if his luck could turn around at Backlash. Former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. expressed his excitement for the match on his Wrestling With Freddie podcast, and he also explained why he thinks Brock is going to squash Cody.
“I’m more excited to see this match than any of the other matches on the card. I love Cody Rhodes, my daughter loves Cody Rhodes. Brock Lesnar is freaking awesome, man, he’s a unicorn. No one can do what he does… I want Cody to win, but now I’m all in on the ‘hard times’ story, and I think Brock’s gonna kill him, and I think he’s gonna kill him like he did John Cena at SummerSlam back in the day where it was a borderline squash match.”
