WWE is a great company to work for if you want to be a star, but over the past few years more and more talents are taking chances on themselves and breaking out on their own.
Cody Rhodes is a great example of a how a well planned run on the independent circuit can revitalize someone’s career, and in 2017 former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger decided to part ways with WWE.
Swagger has been working professional wrestling matches, and he also recently announced that he had signed a deal with Bellator MMA, and he has every intention of competing in 2018.
So far Swagger’s first MMA bout hasn’t been officially announced, but it looks like we could be learning more about his MMA future as he’s teasing a huge announcement for next week.
Of course there’s always the chance that his announcement may not be MMA related, and it could be professional wrestling related instead.
One way or another, Jack Swagger is making moves and 2018 is already shaping up to be one of the most interesting years of his career in combat sports.
