All Elite Wrestling has signed a number of familiar names since the company launched five years ago, but in recent months several talents have parted ways with the company. Recently Mark Henry confirmed that he’s done with AEW, and it seems that another former WWE star is done with the company as well.
Bodyslam.net is now reporting that Jake Hager’s contract with All Elite Wrestling has expired, and he is now a free agent. According to the report the decision to not sign a new deal was said to have been mutual.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion made his debut with AEW on the first episode of Dynamite back in October of 2019 when he joined Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle. Hager was consistently featured on AEW programming and he went on to join the Jericho Appreciation Society after the Inner Circle broke up. However, Hager hasn’t been used much since the Jericho Appreciation Society split up last year.
Stay tuned for updates on Jake Hager’s status as they become available.
