On the first ever episode of AEW Dynamite, The Elite faced off against Chris Jericho, Santana and Ortiz in the main event.
Kenny Omega was taken out by Jon Moxley who hit him with a double arm DDT through a glass table, and the numbers game proved to be too much for The Bucks who lost the match.
After the bell rang Jericho, Santana and Ortiz beat down The Bucks and Cody tried to make the save, but Sammy Guevara hit him with a low blow.
Dustin Rhodes then made his way down to the ring to even the odds, but he was attacked by Jake Hager (formerly known as Jack Swagger in WWE). Hager got a big reaction and fans briefly chanted “we the people.”
The heels then destroyed The Elite and beat them down for several minutes, and they all stood tall in the ring to end the show.
