Former WWE Women’s Champion Officially Retires From The Ring

If a wrestler is lucky then they will have a long career that includes many big wins and title reigns, but nobody can wrestle forever.

Former WWE Women’s Champion and Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Gail Kim informed fans months ago that she planned to retire from in-ring competition, and Kim wrestled her last match in the UK this weekend.

Gail Kim wrestled at a Southside Wrestling event, and it sounds like it was an emotional night for the former champion. She posted the following:

“Last note of the night. My dream was to retire in the UK and thanks to @swe_southsidewe for allowing me the privilege to do it for you. Always professional, respectful, caring and thoughtful. Tonight was the icing on the cake for my career and I’ll always be eternally grateful that I could walk away from the ring on such a spectacular note. Tonight was emotional and special and it was all thanks to them and the most loyal fans I’ve ever had. Nothing can beat tonight so I THANK YOU!!”

Southside Wrestling also shared a video of Gail getting a standing ovation after her final match which can be viewed below.
