We’re currently on the road to WrestleMania 38, and there’s no telling who might return during WrestleMania season. A few weeks ago Goldberg returned to confront Roman Reigns and on Saturday fans saw Roman defend his Universal Title against Goldberg at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia.
Unfortunately for Goldberg it was the Tribal Chief who managed to defeat the Hall of Famer and retain his Universal Championship. Prior to the title bout Goldberg teased that the match with Roman may be his last when he posted the following:
“Possibly my final mission in the wrestling world. As you can tell I’m quite weary from the long flight as I stated that we are in Riyadh when in fact we are in Jeddah. Kind of a bittersweet trip as it may be my last here as a performer. Hopefully my hard work pays off leaving Roman helpless in the middle of the ring as I walk out with his #universalchampionship Whatever happens he’s going to know that getting in the ring with me was a bad decision on his part. Whether or not Goldberg is indeed finished with wrestling completely remains to be seen, but following Elimination Chamber he is a free agent as his match with Roman Reigns was the last on his contract. Stay tuned for updates.
