It’s been 10 years since the last time former WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison and Joey Mercury, aka MNM, teamed up, but they reunited Friday night at an All Pro Wrestling event in Daly City, California and they faced off against Reno Scum.
MNM made their main roster debut in 2005 and teamed together until 2007. Together they won the WWE Tag Team Titles three times.
John Morrison made his debut with Impact Wrestling a few weeks ago, and he’s now known as Johnny Impact, and it looks like he’ll be playing a big role at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
Terry Funk is a WWE Hall of Famer who has tried to retire from in-ring competition many times throughout the course of his career. But Funk just can’t seem to stay away from the ring, and he made his return to action on Friday night at the Big Time Wrestling event in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Funk teamed up with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express to take on the team of Jerry “The King” Lawler, Brian Christopher and Doug Gilbert.
PWInsider reports that some fans in attendance described the match as a “chaotic trainwreck” with some fans calling it an “entertaining carwreck” full of crazy Funk shenanigans.
At one point Funk apparently took Brian Christopher’s belt off and beat him with it which caused Brian’s pants to fall down as Funk was beating him.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express and Funk won by DQ after Lawler attacked a referee, and after the bell rang Funk hit Lawler and three referees with a piledriver.
