On Friday night the SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey made her way to the ring and she issued an open challenge for her title. She said that the belt is back where it belongs and she’s in the mood to prove it.
Ronda told the fans that only the great can recognize greatness, and they’re all too mediocre to know what they’re looking at. She then laid down the challenge for her championship.
Former WWE Superstar Emma answered the challenge as she made made her return to the company for the first time in years. Michael Cole noted that as of tomorrow it will be five years since Emma was released in 2017. Following her release she went on to work with ROH and Impact Wrestling.
Emma fought hard, but at one point Ronda raked her eyes then hit Piper’s Pit. Instead of going for the pin Ronda Rousey locked in the armbar and made Emma tap out to retain her SmackDown Women’s Championship.
